Hosted by Body Mind & Sol
We all lead stressful lives, and many of us have struggled with depression and anxiety, from the occasional blues to clinically diagnosed depression, from ruminating thoughts to panic attacks. This workshop is designed to be an experiential approach to managing symptoms of depression and anxiety. We will offer resources for both top down (cognitive/mind) and bottom up (yoga/body focused) approaches to minimize the negative effects of these conditions.
We will offer skills that you can take with you into daily life off the yoga mat, such as breathing practices, particular poses, and cognitive strategies. Led by Sue Reimondo, licensed psychologist and RYT-200 Yoga Teacher and Leah Van Winkle, RYT-500 Yoga Teacher. Both have benefited immensely from their yoga practice, both in terms of healing and finding greater joy and contentment in life, and are eager to share what they have found to be effective in their own lives and for their clients. This workshop is especially timely as we move into fall and winter, a time of year when a lot of us experience lower moods, so come learn how to manage your Seasonal moods as well!
Pre-registration is greatly appreciated! Cost is $50 for the community, $15 for students. Register online at bodymindsolyoga.com.
