Free tickets are available online for the annual Christmas concert, co-sponsored by the Berea College Music Program and the Campus Christian Center. The event, titled LISTEN! A Musical Celebration of Christmas, will be held on two successive nights - Friday evening December 2 and Saturday evening December 3. Both performances will begin at 8:00 p.m. in Phelps Stokes Chapel.

The performances this year are being recorded for broadcast on Christmas Eve by CBS-TV affiliates nationwide. To accommodate the television cameras, lights, audio equipment and extra personnel required for broadcast, the event has been moved from its customary location in Union Church to the historic Phelps Stokes Chapel.

You are invited to attend this popular event and to join in the singing of traditional carols. Music of the season will be performed by the College's Black Music Ensemble, Bluegrass Music Ensemble, Concert Choir, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Women's Chorus. Plan to attend this special Christmas celebration to usher in Berea's Christmas Season!

Although admission is free, TICKETS ARE REQUIRED due to limited seating.
Reservations for tickets can be made online at:

When placing your ticket request online, please note that there will be two seating options for each night - main floor or balcony. For more information about tickets, please contact Marsha Elliott in the Campus Christian Center at 859-985-3134.

Due to the recording of the event, no children under 8 years of age will be allowed at the evening concerts. However, a “kid-friendly” performance open to families is scheduled during the open rehearsal from 3:30-5:30p.m. on Friday, December 2, for which tickets are NOT required.

Other important notices include:

Please enter Phelps Stokes through the front door on Chestnut Street; the handicap entrance is on the Campus Drive/Traylor Art Building (east) side of the Chapel.
Due to the recording of the event, movement during the concert performances will be restricted. There will be specific times that the audience will be allowed to leave their seats.
Please note that on Saturday night, the City of Berea will hold the town’s annual Christmas Parade. That event typically ends around 7:00p.m. Please plan accordingly.
